چکیده

هدف: هدف مطالعه حاضر بررسی وضعیت و میزان آمادگی مجلات علمی- پژوهشی انگلیسی‌زبان گروه فنی و مهندسی برای نمایه شدن در پایگاه‌های استنادی بین‌المللی است.
روش‌شناسی‌: تحقیق حاضر از نظر هدف، کاربردی است که به شیوه توصیفی انجام شد. جامعه آماری مورد مطالعه آن دسته از مجلات انگلیسی‌زبان حوزه فنی و مهندسی درج شده در پرتال مجلات علمی وزارت علوم، تحقیقات و فناوری است که در پایگاه‌های وب‌آوساینس و اسکوپوس نمایه نشده‌اند. تعداد این مجلات برابر با 57 است. ابزار گردآوری داده‌ها سیاهه وارسی محقق ساخته بود.
یافته‌ها: یافته‌های پژوهش نشان داد در بین 57 مجله مورد بررسی، در زمینه معیارهای عمومی تنها نه مجله شماره استاندارد بین‌المللی چاپی و یا الکترونیکی را ارائه نکرده بودند. همچنین 40/61 درصد (35 مورد) از مجلات در انتشار منظم شماره‌های مجله با تاخیر روبرو بودند. همه مجلات دارای فرایند همترازخوانی بودند. در زمینه معیارهای خط‌مشی یا سیاست مجلات، شش مجله دارای تنوع جغرافیایی نویسندگان نبودند و دو مجله هیئت تحریریه خارجی نداشتند. در زمینه معیارهای دسترسی هشت مجله شناسه شی دیجیتال (DOI) برای مقالات نداشتند و دو مجله امکان گرفتن خروجی اِندنوت برای مقالات مجله را فراهم نکرده بودند و بقیه معیارها از سوی تمامی مجلات رعایت شده بودند. در زمینه معیارهای موقعیت چهارده مجله در گوگل اسکالر دارای پروفایل نبوده و بنابراین اچ ایندکس و استنادهای دریافتی آنها یافت نشد.
نتایج: ضعف مهم اغلب مجلات حوزه فنی و مهندسی تاخیر در انتشار منظم شماره‌های مجلات است. در بقیه معیارها وضعیت نسبتاً مطلوبی مشاهده شد.

چکیده [English]

Purpose: The purpose of the present study is to evaluate the readiness of Iranian English language journals of technical and engineering for indexing in international citation databases
Methodology: This research is applied in term of purpose and descriptive-survey in term of data collection method. The population of study is those Iranian English-language journals in the technical and engineering field which are not indexed in Web of Science and Scopus Databases. The number of these journals is equal to 57.
Findings: The findings of the research showed that out of 57 studied journals, only 9 journals did not provide printed or electronic International Standard Serial Number. Also, 61.40 percent (35 cases) of the journals had delays in the publication of the journal issues. All the journals had peer-review process. Regarding policy criteria, 6 journals did not have geographical diversity in term of contributing authors and 2 journals did not have international editorial boards. In terms of access criteria, 8 journals did not have a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) for articles and 2 journals did not provide the possibility of getting Endnote output for journal articles, and the rest of the criteria were met by all journals. In terms of position criteria, 14 journals did not have a profile in Google Scholar, and therefore their H-index and received citations were not available.
Conclusion: An important weakness of most engineering journals was the delay in the publication of journal issues. A relatively favorable situation was observed in the rest of the criteria.
